The\u00a0 load cell model 1260 was developed for large, inexpensive standard platform scales market. With its simple mechanical design and large mounting surfaces you can quickly and easily development a large platform scale .
\nThe typical applications include belt weighing, check weighing and bag filling. Other applications also include overhead rail weighing, dispensing and pallet scales as well as\u00a0 industrial applications, such as the overload protection of lifting devices used in the handling and conveying of paper and steel products.<\/p>\n

The Model 1260 like many platform load cells, has a dual beam mechanical design. Each load cell is manufactured using an optimised complex machining process. This ensures that there will be no measurement error when the load is placed off centre, eg in a corner of a platform.
\nA platform scale can easily be constructed using this load cell. You simply have to mount the load cell between two steel or aluminium plates up to 600 mm square, securing the bottom plate to the threaded holes in the underside of the load cell (cable entry end) and the top plate to the threaded holes on the upper face (opposite cable entry end). The\u00a0load cell<\/a>\u00a0then has to connected to a suitable display or readout.<\/p>\n

The 1260 platform load cell can be supplied with an optional\u00a0 ATEX II 2G EEx ia IIC T4 certificate for use in hazardous gas areas \u2013 Zone 1 & 2.
\nThe 1260 load cell is fitted with a 6 core shielded cable as standard. Special cables and lengths are available on request.<\/p>\n
