Description

Standard models are available over a wide range from 4.5 kg (10 lb) to 2,250 kg (5,000 lb). The MBD2 is mainly used to measure compressive forces acting on cylinders, bolts, or shafts. Models with various through‑hole sizes are available. A full‑bridge configuration using strain‑gauge technology provides excellent long‑term stability and ensures high performance in applications requiring more than one million load cycles.
The unit is made of stainless steel, and the circuitry is protected from moisture by an epoxy‑sealed cover.
The MBD2 can be supplied with standard cable configurations and industry‑standard connectors. As a smart transducer, the MBD2 optionally offers TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) functionality, which is very useful for system integration and management; this feature uses an onboard memory chip to store manufacturing and calibration data.
