The KFRPB series foil strain gauges are self-temperature-compensated gauges (SELCOM gauges) suitable for measuring strain in composite materials such as CFRP and GFRP. The special gauge pattern minimizes the self-heating effect caused by gauge current and the stiffening effect of low-elasticity materials.

▣ To ensure accurate measurements by avoiding the self-heating effect of the gauge current, consider the following:

1. Select a lower excitation voltage on the measurement device.

2. Use an active dummy system.

3. Use 350Ω strain gauges.
