Description
compressive force sensor X-134-L
For precise measurements of tensile and compressive forces
The tensile and compressive force sensor is highly precise and suitable for applications requiring high accuracy. The load cell is suitable for measuring static and dynamic tensile and compressive forces. Furthermore, the force sensor has a low-profile design for use in confined spaces. The robust steel housing and IP66-rated enclosure guarantee trouble-free operation, even under harsh environmental conditions.
The force sensor’s central axis features an M16 to M60 internal thread (depending on the force range) to which a load application button or adapter can be attached, allowing force to be applied. The load cell can be supplied with a factory calibration certificate upon request.
The X-134-L force transducer measures linearly in the force range of 5.0 – 2000 kN based on proven strain gauge technology. The diameter is 105 – 205 mm, depending on the force range.
Characteristics
- Low profile for space-saving installation
- With internal thread for force transmission
- Easy assembly with metal screws
- Measuring ranges from 5.0 kN to 1000 kN available
Installation and use
Electrical connection
X-Sensors’ force sensors are based on a strain gauge full bridge. The output signal of this sensor is specified in mV/V. Various controller input modules already allow the direct connection of force sensors with strain gauge full bridges.
Additionally, measuring amplifiers with voltage output (0-10 V) and current output (4-20 mA) are available, which amplify the strain gauge full bridges accordingly. The measuring amplifiers are available in a robust field housing, for DIN rail mounting, or in an inline housing.
Mechanical connection / design
Our tensile and compressive force sensors are ideal for installation in very confined spaces due to their compact design. Force is applied via the respective internal and external threads, through which the tensile and compressive force is centrally measured.
Thanks to its solid, weatherproof stainless steel housing (IP66 rated), the X-134-L is very reliable and robust. This guarantees trouble-free operation even under harsh environmental conditions.
Thanks to its flat design, the strain gauge force sensor is particularly versatile. Mounting the flat pressure sensor is straightforward using the eight through-holes on a ground and hardened surface. Existing structures can thus be easily retrofitted with the strain gauge force sensor.
Application areas include reference measurements, mechanical engineering, force recording and control in assembly and joining equipment, measurement of press-in and insertion forces and functional testing of assemblies.
